The Lebanon Recovery Fund

After the July 2006 destructive war, the Government of Lebanon together with the United Nations initiated a major recovery plan for Lebanon. During the Stockholm conference of the same year; Spain, Romania and Sweden pledged a contribution of around USD 46 Million constituting a Multi Partner Trust Fund: “The Lebanon Recovery Fund”. 
The LRF funded 25 projects targeting the sectors of renewable energy, water management, local development, livelihoods and economic recovery, local socio-economic development and institutional capacity building. LRF projects are implemented by six UN Agencies in Lebanon in close coordination with the LRF M&E Unit hosted at the MoET.
