Visit of the Ambassador of the Tunisia to Lebanon
Burawi Al-Imam, in the Embassy’s headquarter in Hazmieh
Minister Amin Salam pursued his visits in the afternoon by meeting with the Ambassador of the Tunisia to Lebanon, Burawi Al-Imam, in the Embassy’s headquarter in Hazmieh, as part of his movement toward Arab and regional countries and in order to keep the communications lines opened in order to comprehend their detailed information and support on all levels, if possible, under this continuous aggression that Lebanon is going through.
In this regard, Minister Salam conveyed his thanks to Ambassador Burawi Al-Imam for the continuous support of both the Republic of Tunisia and the President Kais Saied shown to Lebanon at the international and regional instances.
Minister Salam also explained to the Tunisian Ambassador the country’s general situation; in particular the necessity to provide humanitarian aids and adequate places for the displaced people whose areas are being exposed to Israeli bombings in addition to meet their daily needs. He addressed a request to provide assistance in order to support and equip the displacement places, such as schools and buildings, that opened their doors to welcome the displaced people; in particular the “Quality in” hotel at the Rachid Karami International Fair in Tripoli which extends over one million square meters to be at the service of the displaced.
On his turn, the Tunisian Ambassador Burawi Al-Imam thanked Minister Salam for his visit and expressed his keenness to provide all kinds of support for Lebanon in addition to the Tunisian Government and people’ support to Lebanon; stressing that Tunisia always speaks up and raises concern about Lebanon war at the United Nations’ General Assembly and the Security Council. Ambassador Al-Imam also stated that his country provides direct and indirect support to Lebanon.
