Visit of the Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria

Minister Amin Salam pursued his tours to mobilize the humanitarian support for the displaced due to the Israeli bombing on Lebanon, by visiting today the Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Rachid Belbaki, in the Embassy’s headquarter in Jnah . To this end, Minister Amin Salam explained to Ambassador Belbaki the country’s general situation, in particular the necessity to provide adequate places for the displaced and meet their daily need. He addressed a request to provide assistance in order to support and equip the displacement places, such as schools and buildings, that opened their doors to welcome the displaced people; in particular the “Quality in” hotel at the Rachid Karami International Fair in Tripoli which extends over one million square meters to be at the service of the displaced.
Moreover, Minister Salam conveyed his thanks to the President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and the Algerian people for their longing and nobility reflected by the fast supply, last month, with the fuel to help Lebanon overcome an electricity outage crisis.
On his turn, Ambassador Rachid Belbaki thanked Minister Salam for his visit and trust in the State and the people of Algeria, stating that:
“We are the children of the Arab heritage, we are the children of the Lebanese home; and with God’ willing, we will always stand with Lebanon”.
