Visit of the Ambassador of Pakistan

Minister Amin Salam pursued today his tours by visiting the Ambassador of Pakistan, Salman Akhtar, in the Embassy headquarter in Baabda to mobilize the humanitarian support for the displaced from the South and Bekaa.

Minister Salam conveyed his thanks to Ambassador Akhtar  for the Pakistani’ support to Lebanon before the international and regional instances..

Minister Amin Salam also explained to Ambassador of Pakistan the country’s general situation, in particular the necessity to provide adequate places for the displaced and meet their daily need. He addressed a request to provide assistance in order to support and equip the displacement places, such as schools and buildings, that opened their doors  to welcome the displaced people; in particular the “Quality in” hotel at the Rachid Karami International Fair in Tripoli which extends over one million square meters to be at the service of the displaced.

On his turn, Ambassador Salman Akhtar thanked Minister Salam for his visit and assured to him that the Republic of Pakistan stands with the Lebanese Government and people, through thick and thin;  and the possibility of providing aids through the Middle East Airlines given the crucial  military and  security situation, in terms of having recourse to military airplanes, as is customary,  for the aids transportation. The Ambassador wished to keep the communications lines opened to follow up on the course of events.
