The Minister Mansour Bteish met the United Arab Emirates Ambassador and the Lebanese Bakeries Syndicate in the lebanese regions
Minister of Economy and Trade Mansour Bteish met yesterday with the United Arab Emirates Ambassador Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi. Discussions tackled the issue of mutual ties as well as means of developing and boosting the economic relations and trade exchange between both countries.
In this regard, Minister Bteish called the United Arab Emirates for investing in high value-added lebanese productive sectors which contribute in creating job opportunities and increasing the export movement in Lebanon.
In addition, Minister Bteish welcomed, in the presence of the Director of General Directorate of Cereals And Sugar beets by delegation, Nadine Aoun, a delegation from the Lebanese Bakeries Syndicate and head of syndicates in the lebanese regions headed by Kazem Ibrahim who explained the challenges face by the sector.
At the end of the meeting, Kheir declared: “we met with his Excellency Minister of Economy and Trade and discussed the problems that we are facing, namely those related to the sector’ workers and the health cards; thus imposing additional financial charges on bakeries owners and bakeries. For this reason, we conveyed our concern to his Excellency who listened to our demands and promised to keep up with them”.
