Minister of Economy and Trade Mansour Bteish welcomed today a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank headed by the Levant Country Officer at IFC (Lebanon, Syria and Iraq) Marcel Rached and the agricultural expert Serhiy Osavolyuk and discussed the mutual ties between Lebanon and the Corporation.

Discussions also tackled the importance of developing the productive sectors, in particular the agriculture sector and food industries for their crucial role in developing the rural areas and enhancing contributions made to increase the national production as well as to develop the national economy.

In addition, both parties considered the fields of practical cooperation for the benefit of the Lebanese citizens.

Moreover, Minister Bteish met with the head of the Doctors' Syndicate Charaf Abou Charaf  and discussed issues of interest to the Doctors' Syndicate.
