The Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade arrives in Jeddah to attend the Arab Summit’ first meetings at the ministerial level.
The preparatory meetings of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League will kick off today at the senior experts level. As at the ministerial level, Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam will chair Lebanon’s delegation for the meetings of the Economic and Social Council to be held on Monday.
It is to mention that the preparatory meetings at the permanent representatives and senior officials will be held on Tuesday; preparing for the meeting of the Foreign Affairs’ Ministers whereof the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will chair the Summit after Algeria held the rotating presidency in the preceding year.
Furthermore, the representatives’ meetings will discuss the recommendations and draft decisions that will be referred to the Foreign Affairs’ Ministers meeting that will be held next Wednesday.
It is expected that the Arab leaders and kings participating in the Arab Summit will start arriving as from Thursday.
