to discuss the issue of the MEA flights insurance after the sudden decision consisting in the reduction in the number of flights.
Minister of Economy and Trade, M. Amin Salam welcomed a delegation of the Association of Insurance Companies in Lebanon to discuss the issue of the MEA flights insurance. Discussions tackled the possible challenges and solutions toward ensuring the sustainability of this vital sector.
To this end, Salam expressed his worry about the impact of this decision on the country; mainly under current circumstances after the reduction in the number of MEA flights by 80%.
Furthermore, they reiterated during the meeting the utmost importance of finding adequate solutions to ensure the sector´s sustainability.
