Salam met the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the margin of his participation in the Raisina Middle East International Forum held in the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
Minister Salam thanked H.H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emirati leadership, government and people for all the material, moral and human support provided to the Lebanese people during the last Israeli aggressions against Lebanon.
Both parties discussed in their meeting held in the Capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi during the Raisina Middle East Forum the region’s latest developments on the strategic level in addition to the friendship and brotherly cooperation ties between the United Arab Emirates, in particular the decision of the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to take the necessary actions for the reopening of the UAE Embassy in Beirut; in a step aiming to support everything that ensure Lebanon’s security and stability as well as to achieve the Lebanese aspirations toward development and prosperity; looking toward joint work between the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon in order to achieve the interests of both the countries and their people; and contribute in enhancing security, stability, peace and prosperity in the region.
