Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, welcomed in his office at the Ministry the Chargé d’Affaires at the Iraqi Embassy, M. Amin Nasrawi. Discussions tackled the finalization of the Iraqi -Lebanese bilateral trade and economic committee’ meeting, to be held in Baghdad during the month of August, headed from the Lebanese side by Minister of Economy and Trade. 

In this regard, Minister Salam highlighted the importance of the Lebanese-Iraqi joint committee’ works at this delicate stage that the region is going through as well as the major challenges that Iraq and Lebanon are facing as a result of the long wars.

Moreover, Salam added that enhancing this partnership through the work of this committee will definitely prove the depth, integrity and the seriousness of  the Iraqi-Lebanese relations on all levels; namely in terms of strengthening cooperation between both countries in order to achieve joint interests for the two brotherly peoples.

At the end, Salam concluded: we strongly believe that the future between Iraq and Lebanon is promising with great prospects.
