Salam from Doha:
We always express our thanks to dear Qatar for your tremendous efforts exerted for the purpose of achieving dignity of human life, people freedom and for keeping pace with development and making peace in the region.
Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, participated, together with the delegation accompanying him, in the third Session of the Arab Economic and Cooperation Forum with Central Asian Countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan held in the Qatari capital, Doha; whereof Minister Salam held side meetings before and after the Ministerial level meeting, with the Secretary -General of the Arab League, Ahmad Aboul Ghait; the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates bdulla Bin Touq; the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani; the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Alahmad Alsabah and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Sultanate of Oman Nasser bin Rashid Al Maawali.
In this regard, Salam expressed, in a chat with journalists, his thanks and appreciation to the Emir, Government and people of Qatar for their permanent and continuous efforts exerted in all fields, namely in pursuing the issue of Palestine, emphasizing their tremendous efforts exerted to put an end to the Zionist aggression on our Arab people in Palestine in addition to end the imminent danger facing our people in Rafah, on one side; and their interest shown to Lebanon’ return on the political and economic level back to normal, where it belongs before its consecutive crisis, on the other side.
Furthermore, Minister of Economy and Trade will proceed tomorrow his meetings on Doha with several Arab and Qatari leaders.
