Salam discusses the cooperation strategies and the contingency plan with the delegation of economic sectors
Minister of Economy and Trade, M. Amin Salam, welcomed a delegation of the economic sectors in Lebanon. The delegation included the syndicate of foods importers; the supermarkets owners; the poultry and meat owners syndicate; the syndicate of food industries; the petroleum importing companies and the syndicate of flour mills.
In this regard, discussions tackled challenges that the country faces under current circumstances. The delegation expressed appreciation to the efforts exerted by Minister Salam in order to boost the business environment and strengthen the economic sectors.
Furthermore, the issue of the importance of the emergency preparedness as well as the possible security situations was addressed during the meeting.
To his turn, Salam stressed that the Ministry works together with the economic sectors to develop a contingency plan in order to ensure the business sustainability and to protect the public interest in case of any security incident.
