Resolution adjusting the weight of a bag of bread
H.E. Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas Issued the resolution bearing the number 56/1/أ.ت. adjusting whereby the weight of a bag of bread. Here is the text of the resolution:
The Minister of Economy and Trade,
Based on Decree No. 5818 date 13/06/2011 (the formation of the government),
Based on the law publication by Decree No. 6821 Date of 28/12/1973 determining the functions and staffs of the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Ministry of Industry and oil,
Based on Decree-Law No. 659 Date of 04/02/2005, and its amendments (the Anti-fraud law),
Based on Resolution No. 159/1/أ.ت. (determining the selling price and weight of a bag of bread), and with reference to global and local variance in the prices of wheat, fuel and cost of living and its impacts on industry costs of bread,
The following has been decided:
Article I: Contrary to any other text, the sale price of a bag of bread weighing a minimum of nine hundred grams (900 grams) is determined to be a maximum of a thousand and five hundred Lebanese Lira (1.500 L.L.).
Article II: This resolution shall be published and conveyed where needed, and shall be effective starting 01/05/2012, and posted on the bulletin board of the Ministry of Economy and Trade. /.
