Police training and joint patrols with Hazmieh Municipality
The Directorate of Consumer Protection organized a training for health observers and municipal police in Hazmieh in order to accelerate the monitoring efforts for food safety in the context of joint action with the municipalities. Following the training, the joint patrols of the directorate and hazmieh observers conducted a comprehensive survey on all the institutions that process and serve food (restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops, slaughterhouses and food warehouses...). The patrols goal is to uphold compliance with the health regulations required to ensure food safety in order to conserve consumers` health.
