New decision dictating the mechanism and terms of destroying spoiled goods
H.E. Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas issued a new decision today, bearing the number 68 / 1 / أ ت, dictating the mechanism and terms of destroying goods unfit for consumption. Here reads as follows:
- Article I: The individual possessing a quantity of expired goods has to submit a letter to the Directorate of Consumer Protection indicating the type, amount, quantity and location of the designated expired goods.
- Article II: The goods proven to be unfit for consumption, will be destroyed by furnaces that follow environmental standards, at the expense of the applicant, after a decision by the Minister of Economy and Trade.
- Article III: The process of goods destruction will be supervised by a Ministry of Economy and Trade representative.
- Article IV: This resolution shall be effective immediately and those concerned should be notified.
