Minister of Finance and National Economy receives the Lebanese Minister of Economy and Trade
On the margins of the “Bahrain Summit” and as part of the preparatory meetings of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League
Minister of Economy and Trade, Me. Amin Salam, met Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Finance and National Economy Minister, as part of the preparatory meetings of the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League on the margins of the thirty third Arab Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
During the meeting, the Finance and National Economy Minister discussed the existing bilateral ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Lebanon in addition to the development and growth witnessed on all levels, namely in fields related to finance, economy and trade; stressing the importance of further work to develop these ties and push them forward for greater joint cooperation and coordination to the benefit and growth of the two countries. He also assured the concern and keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, to exert all efforts in order to host the thirty third Arab Summit to the fullest and achieve its desired goals.
On this occasion, Salam underlined the need to work on reopening the Gulf markets to all the Lebanese products and enhancing the trade exchange between both countries.
At the end, Minister Salam revealed to Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa his hope for the re-opening of direct flights between Lebanon and Bahrain so that investment opportunities will be feasible based on the support of the Arab brothers for Lebanon.
