Minister of Economy and Trade welcomed the Ambassador of Mexico to Lebanon and a delegation of wheat farmers from the Bekaa Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL)
Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, welcomed in his office at the Ministry the Ambassador of Mexico to Lebanon, Jose Ignacio Madrazo. The parties discussed the bilateral economic relations issues and asserted the necessity to strengthen the investment and trade relations.
Moreover, Minister Salam welcomed a delegation of wheat farmers from the Bekaa region and discussed the importance of exporting the locally produced wheat not suitable for bread making; bringing high benefits to farmers. Discussions also tackled the issue of speeding up the overdue compensation payment procedures of previous years crops to wheat farmers.
In addition, Minister Salam welcomed Fair Trade Lebanon (FTL) in order to follow up the SIAL – Paris exhibition to be held in October 2022. SIAL is organized by FTL with the cooperation of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, under the patronage of the Embassy of Lebanon in France and in the presence of Minister Salam.
