Minister of Economy and Trade Raed Khoury welcomed a delegation of the aluminum plants in Lebanon and informed them about the line of inquiry in terms of the Trade Remedies Unit file which is being studied. In this regard, he assured that the Ministry will impose provisional charges on importing aluminum to Lebanon once the inquiry and discussions are done.

On its turn, the delegation requested to protect their plants, being the source of livelihood for around 1200 families. In consequence, Khoury reassured that the Ministry exerts its bests efforts to reach adequate solutions in this regard in compliance with the agreements concluded with the Arab countries.
