Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, met the Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Eng. Hassan El Khatib on the sideline of the Arab League meetings held in Cairo.

In this regard, discussions tackled means of boosting the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, based on the brotherhood ties between Lebanon and Egypt. Salam stated that they discussed during the meeting issued of facilitating bilateral trade between Lebanon and Egypt in addition to addressing challenges that hinder them to move easier, namely regarding the Lebanese traders and investors during the economic crises that Lebanon is witnessing. Moreover, he highlighted the continuous communication between the officials of both countries in order to solve all barriers that face this exchange.

Furthermore, Salam stressed the importance of enhancing the exchange visits of both countries’ businessmen to explore investment opportunities and exert efforts to open new horizons for trade and industrial partnership.
