In order to complement the efforts exerted by Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, to confront the consequences of the emerging crisis in Ukraine; and in order to ensure the food security, Minister Salam met today in his office at the Ministry the Ambassador of India to Lebanon, Dr. Suhel Khan who assured that India has a sufficient deployment stock to ensure the requested quantities in order to meet the local market needs.

In this regard, it is expected to hold several meetings this week with other countries to ensure more quantities of wheat required to meet Lebanon market.

Moreover, Salam met The Turkish Ambassador Ali Bariş Ulusoy and discussed the Turkish support means to Lebanon during this crisis. In addition, both parties touched on Salam’s visit agenda to Turkey in order to participate in Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
