Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, inaugurated a home appliances showroom in Dawar Al Berke in Al Mina for its owner Haitham Nahle.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of the two Members of Parliament, Mohamad Yehia and Mohamad Suleiman; representative of the MP Fayssal Karame, Yasser Abbouchi; representative of the MP Major General Achraf Rifi, Me. Fadi El Chami; representative of the MP Ahmad El kheir, Hachem El Kheir; Former MP Ali Darwich; Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Mohammed Imam; President of the Union of Menieh Municipalities, Mayor of Deir Aamar Khaled El Dehaibi; Presidents of Municipalities of: Tripoli, Dr. Riad Yamak; Al Beddawi, Hasan Ghemrawi; Borj Al Yahoudiyeh, Amer El Oueik; the former Mayors of Municipalities of Tripoli, Ahmad Kamareddine and Al Mina, Abdul Kadir Alameddine; Head of the Engineering Department in Al Mina municipality, Eng. Amer Haddad; the Member of the political office in the Future Movement, Tripoli Coordinator Nasser Adra; representative of the Priest Estphan Frangieh Boutros Karam; President of the Cultural Association, Ramiz Ferry; Head of Federation of Trade Unions and Employees in the North, Chadi Al-Sayed; Vice-President of the Land Transport Federation, Mohammad El Kheir; President of the Independent Movement, Fadi El Kheir; Secretary of the Lebanese Football Federation, Jihad Chahaf; in addition to many political, economic, educational, religious, sports, social and media figures; as well as municipalities members and concerned persons.
Salam
On this occasion, Minister of Economy stated: “we welcome all the private sectors’ initiatives that drive forward the economic cycle. As a Ministry of Economy, we stand side by side with whom is taking the initiative to open gateways to livelihoods and create job opportunities for young men and women; especially in Tripoli; we surely salute him for acting as a hero under these difficult circumstances that the country is facing; which require courage, without those brave men, neither the economy nor the country can continue”.
In response to a question, he said: “I have a house in Tripoli, having also northern roots whereof the people of Tripoli are my family; and Tripoli is my city; noting that the Minister of Culture, whom I cherish, is a key partner to both me and the Ministry of Economy; stemming from Tripoli driven by culture. We also agreed on the fact of having joint initiatives, where culture and economy go side by side in Tripoli. It is no secret that I visit Tripoli regularly, even almost weekly. Hopefully, we will continue visiting Tripoli, this blessed city, for these key initiatives drive forward both Tripoli and the Lebanese economy”.

On his turn, Mufti of Tripoli and the North welcomed “this brave initiative given its economic return for it creates many job opportunities at a time while both Tripoli and Lebanon suffer from an economic crisis due to the political circumstances and the situation in the South”.
Nahle
In this instance, Nahle stated: “this showroom is dedicated to our people in Tripoli, the North and Lebanon as a whole; we will continue our work carefully and clearly to enhance Tripoli and Lebanon’ economy; especially that we are opening economic horizons through our cooperation with companies with leading international brands, which will definitely provide many job opportunities for the young men and women from Tripoli and the North”.
