Minister of Economy and Trade, Amin Salam, held a meeting with Mr. Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade, Export Promotion of the Republic of Algeria and the accompanying delegation on the occasion of the participation in the thirty third Arab Summit hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

In this regard, Salam stressed the importance of this exceptional meeting emphasizing his personal keenness to build the best bilateral relations with the Republic of Algeria despite the existence of some outstanding issues which were discussed to set the record straight…

Moreover, Salam underlined the importance of bilateral relations between Lebanon and Algeria as part of the cooperation based on affection and friendship as well as building bridges of cooperation on all levels. 

On his turn, Minister Zitouni stressed the importance of partnership, economy, trade exchange and solid relations between Lebanon and Algeria in addition to the political relations rooted throughout history.

Furthermore, Minister Zitouni conveyed to Minister Salam the keenness of the Algerian President, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to help Lebanon not only for brotherly reasons but also for ethical reasons.
