After the meeting with the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
After the meeting with the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that visited Beirut this week, Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Bisat declared:
“The meeting was fruitful; and I affirmed our commitment to start discussions with the Fund in order to complete the program by the summer. In this regard, we discussed the following:
- The overall economic situation in Lebanon,
- The necessary reform program to relaunch the Lebanese economy;
- The timing and details of discussions between the Lebanese government and the IMF”.
