Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Bisat, attended today the meeting of the Committee on National Economy, Trade, Industry and Planning during which he briefed the Members of Parliaments on a report concerning the Ministry’s work.

In this regard, Minister Bisat focused in his presentation on key points, namely the following:

• The practical measures to empower the Competition Authority,
• The completion of the transfer of the economic attachés from the Cadre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Cadre of the Ministry of Economy in addition to enhancing their role in the National Economy,
• The Ministry’s procedures taken to protect the consumer amidst inflation, in particular with the approach of the fasting season,
• The work in progress in order to define the Government’ economic vision prepared by the Ministry.
