Minister of Economy Amer Bisat held numerous meetings and sessions at the Davos World Economic Forum 2026
Minister of Economy and Trade, Amer Bisat, participated in numerous panel discussions, sessions and high level meetings on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 held in Davos, Switzerland; which has seen its largest participation this year, with the presence of hundreds of political leaders, policy makers and prominent entrepreneurs from all over the world.
Among the various sessions Minister Bisat took part along with experts and political leaders, a dialogue session entitled “rethinking global risks” addressing the shifts in the risks’ concept; mainly geopolitical and organizational risks in international companies, in addition to means of enhancing the economic resilience amid the global instability.
During the session “fostering competitive neutrality” organized by the regulatory body of Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) following the World Economic Forum, Minister Bisat discussed the role of the entrepreneurs and governments in fostering integrity, transparency and accountability as well as means of public-private cooperation and the adoption of practical measures to fight corruption in support of fair and sustainable business environment ensuring the investors’ trust.
In addition, during the session “Reframing the Rules and Structure of International Trade” and its future in light of the current challenges, the global trade crisis and the increase of the customs tariffs, Minister Bisat also discussed means of supporting investment in the emerging countries in order to increase their exports, support their integration into the global economy as well as to secure supply chain resilience and trusted cross borders data flows.
On the sidelines of the informal meetings of the global economy leaders, Minister Bisat attended a panel discussion in terms of geostrategic and geo-economic shifts in the Middle East in addition to the growth and stability prospects in the region.
