Minister of Economy & Trade Raed Khoury met with the Ambassador of Netherlands to Lebanon Jan Waltmans whereof discussions tackled the cooperation means between Lebanon and Netherlands. In this regard, the Dutch Ambassador viewed with the Minister the ways of support provided by the Dutch government in terms of the Syrian crisis, trade ties and supporting the human rights, in particular for women and youth. In his turn, Minister Khoury stressed the importance to bolster the bilateral trade ties as well as to select some of the products that can be exported to Netherlands. In addition, Minister Khoury urged the Dutch government to take part in developing both the infrastructure and the joint investments in partnership with the private sector.

To this end, both parties agreed to form a joint committee to devise a plan on developing bilateral ties and determine the goods that may be exported or developed through joint investments.
