Minister of Economy & Trade, Raed Khoury, met with the Executive Director of the World Bank Group Dr. Merza Hasan whereof discussions tackled the economic plan submitted by Minister Khoury in cooperation with McKinsey & Company. In this regard, the World Bank showed its support concerning this plan that took into consideration all sectors and components of the lebanese economy and stressed the importance of accelerating its implementation to attract investments and ensure the lebanese economy recovery.    

To this end, the World Bank proposed many practical suggestions that shall be taken into account when implementing the plan. These suggestions were compared with similar initiatives applied in neighboring countries like Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan. In addition, the World Bank shared its point of view and its aspirations regarding Lebanon and its economy.
