Tue 01 November 2011

Commenting on the strategic partnership between `BSynchro`, the company specialized in providing IT solutions, and `Berytech Fund`, for capital investment in IT and Communications, H.E. Minister of Economy and Trade Nicolas Nahas said, `What we are witnessing today is a success story, but unfortunately we are also witnessing deceleration in our economic growth. Although banks and sources of funding are able to provide this funding, they lack customers because of the lack in initiative.`

Minister Nahas added,` there is a lot that should be done on the level of commercial law. The current system in Lebanon applies pressure on the way things are done. Therefore we should work on lowering the cost of business in Lebanon through working on stimulating several elements such as promoting high quality added value.`

Minister Nahas noted that `globalization means considering the international market and its every unit, ingredient and area. This is what `BSynchro` did to subject its product to export.
Minister Nicolas Nahas announced that `the government is currently working on establishing economic areas in Akkar and the Bekaa Valley, based on the need for actions in order to attract investors.` H.E. emphasized that, `the economy lacks initiators,` and that,` the insurance sector is going to be the next star in developing the economy.`

In response to a question about the E-Commerce Law, Minister Nahas replied,`a new committee has been appointed and is working on redrafting the E-Commerce Law. This committee met with the Shure council and the draft will be finalized soon, prior to being submitted to the council of ministers and the parliament for approval.`
He concluded by congratulating those in charge of the project, `anyone working on creating new jobs in Lebanon deserves a medal, and `B-Synchro` and `Berytech` are one of them.`
