Minister Amin Salam held a meeting in his hotel accommodation in the Bahraini capital, Manama, with H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the presence of the Lebanese delegation participating in the preparatory meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council on the ministerial level for the 33rd ordinary session of the Arab Summit.
Both parties emphasized the depth of the relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Lebanon in addition to the importance of pushing forward the cooperation process between the two brotherly countries toward more advanced levels…
In this regard, Minister Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif noted that His Majesty King Hamad bin Issa Al Khalifa, attaches great importance to the Arabic cooperation, opening up new paths and building cooperation bridges with all parties for the good of our nation.
Furthermore, Alkhulaif underlined during the meeting that the Kingdom of Bahrain is very keen to exert its efforts and take advanced measures to accelerate the pace of achieving the goals of sustainable development.
On his turn, Minister Amin Salam shows interest in this meeting on the basis of:
First: making Lebanon a secure and profitable investment hub for both the Bahraini and Arab investors.
Second: the Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade’ cooperation with the Bahraini Ministry of Sustainable Development for its prominent role in adopting series of ambitious initiatives and programs that provide more qualitative opportunities for the Bahrainis people in addition to the possibility of benefiting from their experiences in line with the sustainable development goals, which the Kingdom had already made long strides in executing them…
To this end, both parties discussed during the meeting the major world and Arab challenges and variables; they also reviewed the solutions and development related to various economic and development sectors between both countries..
In response, Minister Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif showed direct readiness and willingness to lend a hand to Lebanon in order to provide adequate assistance and services to strengthen sustainability on all levels, namely the social, economic and environment ones; in such a way that pushes the economic growth and development for new horizons, especially that the Ministry of Economy and Trade is the first Lebanese Ministry that took the digital transformation decision and undertook to develop its activity.
In turn, Minister Salam praised the tireless efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve the goals of sustainable development and reach the desired end; thanking both the Bahrain Kingdom and its population for the good meeting and great hospitality.
