Minister of Economy and Trade Mansour Bteish met today with the Ambassador of Sri Lanka Wijeratne Mendis and discussed together the bilateral ties and trade exchange issue in addition to means of bolstering and developing trade between the two countries.

Discussions also tackled the conditions of the Sri Lanka labor in Lebanon and the cooperation opportunities in the area of export and investment in both countries.

Moreover, Minister Bteish welcomed Minister of State for Refugee Affairs Saleh Al- Gharib and discussed with him the general situation in Lebanon.

Minister Bteish also met with a delegation of the Syndicate of Owners and Investors of Domestic Gas Cylinder Filling Plants in Lebanon, headed by Antoine Yammine, who provided a claims note, whereof Minister Bteish promised to review and consider.
