From the Ministry of Economy & Trade: Lebanon is the first country to be officially invited to the Iraq Investment Forum.

Minister of Economy & Trade, Amin Salam, welcomed in his office the President of the Iraqi Economic Council , M. Ibraheem Al Baghdadi Al Massaoudi with his accompanying delegation.
On this occasion, M. Ibraheem Al Baghdadi Al Massaoudi gave a glimpse on the development of the economic and investment situation in Iraq… Parties also discussed means of cooperation between Lebanon and Iraq in areas of economic common interest, in particular in the field of trade and investment..
Furthermore, M. Al Baghdadi declared from Minister Salam’ office the launching of the Iraq Investment Forum, scheduled to be held between the 2nd and 3rd of November 2024 in Baghdad. On this occasion, M. Ibraheem Al Baghdadi Al Massaoudi handed over the first official invitation to Minister Amin Salam to attend the Forum.
On his turn, Minister Salam thanked M. Al Baghdadi for this initiative as well as for his trust in Lebanon and the Lebanese people; he also expressed his appreciation for the declaration of this Forum from Lebanon; from the Ministry of Economy and Trade in particular. Minister Salam confirmed his attendance to this Forum, heading a high –level Lebanese economic delegation comprising new and distinguished faces..
In this regard, Minister Salam added that this meeting came within the framework of strengthening the relations between the two countries; especially between the vocational and economic institutions and the private and public sector in both Lebanon and Iraq; in addition to enhancing joint cooperation among various attempts to keep Lebanon in the center of regional attention and remaining an influential partner in the International and Arab World.
