This activity is considered one of a series of activities organized in the occasion of the World Consumer Rights Day celebrated on March 15th.

Moreover, Bteish thanked the Consumer Protection Directorate for its efforts and promised “to follow-up this campaign in all the regions”. In this occasion, the Ministry’s employees welcomed, in presence of university students’ volunteers, young children who were shopping with their parents and accompanied them in an educational tour to raising their awareness on their rights as consumers; the order of purchasing the foodstuffs from the shopping list; to check the dates, content, language and the products’ safety.

The Ministry had previously launched an awareness campaign for young consumers that included short indicative advertisings entitled “Salim and Fahim” in terms of food safety.

The cartoon character “Fahim” was present in the event and accompanied the children in the tour where they took photos together.
