Francophone Entrepreneurial Women’s Award (Berytech) |
Francophone Entrepreneurial Women's Award (FFE) is a yearly competition organized by Berytech in partnership with the Agence universitaire francophone (AUF), L'Orient-Le Jour and le Commerce du Levant designated to French-speaking woman entrepreneurs with a business idea or a startup. Startup Booster Track (Berytech) |
Berytech is a partner of a European funded project called The Next Society, aiming at empowering innovators in the MENA region. MSFEA Accelerator Program (AUB, April 2018 awards) |
Internet of Building (IoB) Infrastructure-less energy monitoring and optimization of buildings. A smart Internet of Things electronics device that can replace the light switch in buildings to help them reduce their electric consumption (thus saving them money and contributing positively to the planet) by monitoring the energy consumption of various electric systems/devices, recommending ways to reduce it, and ultimately automatically optimizing the energy consumption for enterprises. Darwazah Student Innovation Contest (AUB) |
The Darwazah Student Innovation Contest is organized and sponsored by Samih Darwazah Center for Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship of the Olayan School of Business. The competition is open to all AUB undergraduate and graduate students. Participants to the competition submit a proposal for an innovative product, service, or a business process. The purpose of this competition is to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation among AUB students. It also aims at encouraging collaboration between students from different disciplines, to share knowledge and come up with a well-rounded and complete business proposal for a new product or service. DeLOC (2nd place - $5,000) Lab on chip for oncology research – DeLOC created a Biochip that enables the growth of the full ductal tissue (cells & matrix) inside of it, in a way that mimics structurally and functionally the real human tissue. Knowing that ductal tissues are common places for the initiation & growth of cancers, and its metastasis to other parts of the body. Thus, the chip that we built, is a precise model that could be used by pharmaceutical companies to test the effects of the drugs that they are producing on the cancer metastasis in ductal tissues, in lower costs and a shorter period of time. Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) |
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is a celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. During one week each November, GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. These activities, from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings, connect participants to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors, introducing them to new possibilities and exciting opportunities. Millions who had never before considered launching their own ventures soak up advice and inspiration from the likes of Richard Branson, Michael Dell and Muhammad Yunus. How to get involved You can create any event, activity or workshop during Global Entrepreneurship Week. Every organizer or host may put their own spin to their event (see some examples of events). Young Entrepreneurs Competition (INJAZ Lebanon) |
Company Program provides high school and university students the opportunity to start-up, build and manage actual enterprising companies in their local communities. The program is an entrepreneurial process of creativity, innovation, team work, planning, discovery, all through Learning by Doing. The students learn about real life processes and functions, the challenges and benefits of entrepreneurship, and the contribution that entrepreneurs make to economies and societies in the MENA region. The program culminates in a national competition where the winners of both university and school teams participate in a regional competition organized yearly by INJAZ Al-Arab. Contact |
